University Placement &

Carnivore Research Malawi offers a tailored programme for students wishing to conduct their industrial / PTY / professional training placement or BSc/ MSc/PhD internship or research with us.

We offer students the option to conduct their research project with us as part of the placement, as well as offering BSc, MSc and MRes opportunities for university students.

Placements and Bsc / Msc /MRes  projects are offered for periods of 1  to 10 months at any of our field sites.

Developing your skills

Placement students join CRM in the field research sites. You will have the opportunity to gain a diverse range of new skills including field research techniques such as camera trapping, behavioural observations, radio telemetry, carnivore call-in, den checks, scat transects, and large mammal transects. There is also the possibility to work on data entry, data analysis, and GIS.
